Netball
Being the biggest woman’s sport not only in the country, the SPAR Madibaz Netball club is the proud host of the BIGGEST Senior Club Netball Tournament in the Country. It has grown over the past few years from 43 teams entered to a whopping record breaking 83 teams in the 2020 tournament, drawing teams as far and wide as Soweto, Johannesburg and teams along towns from the Garden route as far as George and Mossel Bay. The three day tournament is a annually feature on the netball calendar and basically kicks off the netball season every year in early March.
The 2019 tournament was held over two days on 1st and 2nd of March 2019. Once again a record amount of entries was received and 79 teams participated. The 2020 tournament marked a remarkable peak of 83 teams entered and the extending the tournament into a third day of competition as such hosting it on 6 to 8 March 2020.
Through the partnerships of SPAR the club has now secured proven relationships through product donations with suppliers of Spar including Twizza and Noorsveld Chickens.
