The SPAR Madibaz Netball club assist in various projects in various capacities through collaboration with Hope4kids. Hope4kids is a non profit organization that was started by a Madibaz Netball Alumni, Linda Odolo.
Our sponsorship, SPAR, has an invaluable role in supporting the Hope4Kids foundation through various product donations.
The projects that SPAR Madibaz Netball supported and hosted in 2019 included the following:

Equipment and kit handover to 15 teams in Nelson Mandela Bay (Zwide and Kwazakhele schools). A small tournament for the teams was hosted at Zwide stadium where Madibaz players assisted in coaching for the teams and making and handing food packs to all the kids that participated.

June 16 Youth day Tournament in Zwide Stadium – SPAR Madibaz netball assisted by donating Medals & netball equipment for prize winners and assisting coaches during tournament matches with feedback from our Elite players shadow coaches.

Mandela Day 67 minutes of Community Work - our Madibaz Players donated mugs and assisted in a soup kitchen handing out food to the needy in the Zwide area.

Assisted with 6 young players from schools to make their Matric Farewell dreams come true – through assisting in organizing the Matric farewell dresses and cars to transport them to the venue.
Eventhough 2020 was a challenging year, Hope4Kids in collaboration with the SPAR Madibaz Netball club still managed to raise funds and initiate various projects to support the children in the Zwide and surrounding community.
These projects include:

Assisted in organising a Community fun Walk & Run, that was hosted at Zidwe stadium in February.

Raising funds for the Hope4Kids foundation through an adventure hike at Cape Recife.

"Meet your netball hero" kids hike. Children form the Zwide community had the opportunity to meet and hike at Maitlands Reserve with their favorite netball player.

A Sanitary Drive that was hosted by both Madibaz Netball and Hope4Kids at Charles Duna Primary and Khwezi Lomso High School. The sanitary products which was donated by SPAR was handed out to the girls at these schools.
Additionally the club assists with coaching clinics and motivational talks for schools throughout Motherwell, Kwazakhele and Zwide.
